Our Build It Right Review serves as a robust assessment, designed to meticulously evaluate the work performed by builders, ensuring that it aligns with the required standards and regulations.

What is a Build It Right Review?

A Build It Right Review is a systematic and impartial examination of construction works, whether completed or ongoing. Utilising the comprehensive industry expertise of Overstone’s licensed building consultants, this review focuses on identifying potential defects, non-compliance, and areas where quality might have been compromised.

Impartial Assessment:   Our team of experts conducts an unbiased review, providing an objective evaluation free from any conflict of interest.

Comprehensive Evaluation:   The review encompasses various types of work undertaken, assisted by carefully structured questions, imagery, and non-technical language to identify potential defects or non-compliance.

Technological Integration:   Leveraging state-of-the-art technology, we enable any onsite party to provide photographs and necessary details to verify the installation of discussed items.

​

Prompt Analysis:   Our assessment forms are designed to trigger automatic identification of potential defects, enabling immediate review by our technical personnel.

Detailed Reporting:   Whether defects are found or not, Overstone provides a concise yet comprehensive report, including the Build-it-Right Summary Report for compliance with the National Construction Code.

Notification or Escalation Occurs

Initial Request and Information Submission:

  • Client provides key information associated with the claim to Overstone.

  • Overstone acknowledges receipt and initiates the review process.

  • Overstone undertakes a review of the information received.

  • Overstone registers a job, implementing a specific workflow that has a high degree of automation.

Engaging Assessor:

  • The assessing party is contacted by Overstone's systems.

  • A link to an assessment form is provided to the assessing party, enabling their undertaking of a high-level, well-structured review.

Completion of the Assessment Form:

  • The assessing party completes the form, responding to questions, providing imagery, and details of the work.

  • The form is submitted, and the results are collated for technical assessment.

Immediate Element of Concern Identification:

  • Automatic triggers within the assessment form enable the quick identification of potential elements of concern.

  • Overstone undertakes a technical assessment to verify information and details appear in line with report identifiers.

Client Notification / Escalation:

  • If no elements of concern are identified, the Client is notified with a Build-it-Right Summary Report.

  • If elements of concernare identified, Overstone provides advice to the Client about appropriate steps to assess or address the concerns.

  • (if req.) Overstone technical assets conduct a detailed Build-It-Right Assessment of the information provided by the assessing party.

  • Categorisation of potential elements of concern occurs.

  • Depending on the categorisation, technical inspections whether virtually or through site inspection may be required.

  • Overstone remains available for further consultation, support, or follow-up assessments as required.
